Kaleidoscopic Call in partnership with the Stone Mountain Baptist Association

celebrates its diversity, being one of the most diverse associations in the state. Pastor Chernet Samuel Hadbacho, from Ethiopia, is a church planter partnering with the Association to plant an Ethiopian church with a unique growth model. He’s currently pursuing a DMin. degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. The Ethiopian Community is one of the largest ethnic communities in the Stone Mountain Baptist Association. Ethiopians come from various religious backgrounds including Islam, Judaism, and most predominately Ethiopian Orthodoxy; most of whom still try to uphold the Jewish Old Testament Laws.

While many churches are focused on growing upward in numbers, his vision is focused on growing in fruitfulness outwardly. His goal is to grow a fellowship to 120 members and then to commission a core group to focus on a new area of need to start a new church. This model is very unique among Ethiopian Churches. Our hope is to see the Lord use this church and vision to expand the vision of multiplication to other ethnic churches and others in the Association.
